Joe Biden is refusing to believe the nation’s scientists and experts, saying that travel restrictions are bad. He is continuing his criticism of President Trump’s decision to impose travel bans to limit the spread of the virus.

The government has imposed travel bans on areas that are affected heavily by the virus, namely China, Iran, and Europe. Initially, the United Kingdom and Ireland were not affected by the ban but Vice President Pence announced that the restriction is going to be expanded to include those two countries because of the increases in cases there. The travel restrictions have been implemented by the government as medical experts say that many of the cases within the United States were caused by travellers from Europe, which has now become the epicenter of the outbreak. Several medical experts have already voiced their opinion that travel bans will be necessary in order to stem the spread of the disease.

Alex Azar, who is from the Health and Human Services (HHS), said that travel bans give the country time to prepare and that is exactly what they are meant to do. Other experts have said that without the travel bans, the country would be in a much worse situation, with many more cases of the disease. Other experts have said that travel from Europe presents the real threat to the country when it comes to the spread of the coronavirus.

The former Vice President has refused to accept that travel bans are necessary and has stated that they will not stop the spread of the disease, which was a direct contradiction to what medical experts and officials have said.

Joe Biden has also released his own “plan” for fighting the pandemic. The so-called Biden Plan does not have any mention of travel restrictions nor does it mention Wuhan or China where the disease has originated or Europe which is now the epicenter of the pandemic.

It seems that the Democrats are not inclined to protect Americans from the disease. Biden’s rival to the Democratic Party nomination, Bernie Sanders has said earlier that he will not close the border to prevent the spread of the disease. When he was asked if he would close the border if he had to, Sanders said that he would not and he suggested that American citizens should just self-quarantine.
