In an interview with the morning radio show “The Breakfast Club” Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claimed that President Donald Trump is “scared” to attack her in person.

During the conversation, AOC was asked to give her opinion about presidential hopeful Senator Bernie Sanders’s supporters called “Bernie Bros.” AOC said, “The thing about the internet is it just puts dehumanization on hyperspeed. And we see that all the way from our schools up to adults. It’s just too easy now for a kid to drop a comment for a person to drop a comment that they would ever say in real life.”

Co-host Angela Yee butted in, “You experience that a lot.” DJ Envy also added, “Like with the president. The president threw some shots at you that I think he would never say to your face.” To which AOC confidently replied, “Oh no, he would not.” The conversation continued as co-host Charlamagne tha God said, “He called you a whack job.” AOC then claimed that “Yeah, he never would, like, keep that same energy when he meets me.”

Tha God shouted, “Keep that same energy when you see me, Donald!” and AOC replied, “Exactly!” Yee said, “I think it’s a compliment when Donald Trump doesn’t like you. It’s like, I’m doing something right.” Finally, Ocasio-Cortez made the delusional statement saying “Yeah. Well, I mean, I think he’s scared. I think he is scared.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez also went on to add that voters should have a “suspension of disbelief” for one day if they are to fight against Trump in the upcoming 2020 elections. As AOC said, “I understand the cynicism of not voting 10,000 percent, because how many politicians have come through and promised things and then just ended up being major disappointments?” she asked.

“Ultimately, at least, if we’re not suspending our disbelief for one day, or two days, on Election Day, you know—we can go back to the cynicism [afterward], we’re just asking for two days out of the year to just cast a vote because the system that we have now is with the electorate that we have now,” she stated.

Her strong statement against Trump was contrary to her statements a few years ago. In a recently resurfaced video, AOC claimed that only Sanders and Trump understand the voter’s frustrations.

In the more than 80-minute video call, AOC praised Trump as an effective communicator. “I’d like to say about President Trump is that part I think of what made his communication so effective is because he was capitalizing on the frustration of the American people.”

“Nobody else besides him and Bernie Sanders was really articulating the frustration of the American people,” she said during a 2017 live-stream conference call to her fans at Brand New Congress. However, things took a different side as Ocasio-Cortez won the house seat and rallied against the administration, accusing Trump of being a “racist” and supporting “white supremacy.”
