A man confronted Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) for her plan to wipe out student loan debt, during a campaign event in Grimes, Iowa.

He vented how unfair her plan to cancel student loan debt would be to those who didn’t get loans.

“My daughter is in school. I saved all my money just to pay my student loans. Can I have my money back?” asked the man.

“Of course not,” replied Warren.

“So you want to help those who don’t save any money and the ones that do the right thing get screwed?” he responded.

The man explained that his buddy has a higher income than him and instead of paying off his loans, his buddy bought a new car and took expensive vacations.

Warren promised to cancel existing student loans of up to $50,000 for 95% of student loan borrowers if she is elected president.

Senator Bernie Sanders’s (I-VT) plan is even more generous than Warren’s.

These plans exclude the large percentage of Americans who don’t have student loans and only benefit those who have debt when Warren or Sanders get elected. But the hardworking people who sacrificed and saved for their children’s higher education and those who paid back their student loans are left in the cold.
