Democrats Announce 8 New Witnesses for Week 2 of Impeachment Hearings But Say No to Hunter Biden
The House of Representatives are commencing their televised impeachment hearings Wednesday with 3 people testifying that Democrats will paint President Trump in an unfavorable light. These 3 are Ambassador William Taylor, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State George Kent, and Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch.
The ringleader of the hearings, Adam “Shifty” Schiff (D-CA) announced Tuesday whose testimony will be heard in week 2 of the televised hearings. This includes Jennifer Williams, Alexander Vindman, Kurt Volker, Tim Morrison, Gordon Sondland, Laura Cooper, David Hale, and Fiona Hill.

Of these 8 witnesses, 3 of them are witnesses that the Republicans in the House have requested be able to testify. These 3 are Volker, Hale, and Morrison. The one name that republicans requested that was not accepted is the man at the center of the Ukraine scandal, Hunter Biden.
NEWS: Democrats have sequenced the rest of their public impeachment hearings. Nearly all of the closed-door witnesses they deposed will return.

Just 3 of 9 GOP witness requests were deemed relevant and approved. (Hunter Biden was not one of them). https://t.co/GsUoVJjUi0
In the press release that announced the week 2 witnesses, House Democrats tried to convey that they were appeasing Republican requests but also made it clear that they would not allow the controversial and possibly crooked Biden to take the stand under oath. The press release stated that Democrats “accepted all of the [GOP] requests that are within the scope of the impeachment inquiry.” In other words, all but Hunter Biden.
