Seven suspects were charged with the murder of 21-year-old Daniel Alejandro Alvarado Cuellar in Baltimore, Maryland. Six of the seven were in the country illegally and were identified by federal authorities as being part of the MS-13 gang.

Cuellar’s body had “multiple sharp-force injuries” and was found outside an apartment complex on July 31. Baltimore police believe that Cuellar was the victim of a premeditated gang-related murder.

Baltimore County Police Officer Jennifer Peach told Fox News, “We know this group of individuals was conducting surveillance on him, they were watching him, following him. We know they watched as he left the laundromat and went back across the street to the apartment complex and that is where some of those individuals accosted him.” Peach added, “We know they used knives and multiple people stabbed him multiple times.”

All seven suspects, including a 16-year-old who is charged as an adult, were charged with first-degree murder: Jonathan Escobar-Hernandez, 20, of Towson, Md.; Marlon Leonardo Fabian-Flores, 20, of Manchester, Md.; Edwin Edgardo Garcia-Martir, 18, of Middle River, Md.; Hugo Portillo-Chavez, 31, of Cockeysville, Md.; Jose Fausto Rivera-Coreas, 19, of Cockeysville, Md.; Odaliz Rosas-Yanez, 20, of Cockeysville, Md.; and Leonel Alexander Velasquez-Hernadez, 16, of Cockeysville, Md.

The suspects remain in custody without bail in the Baltimore County Detention Center. If convicted, all seven could face a life sentence in prison.

The MS-13 gang members are responsible for dozens of murders across New York, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C. since January 2016. The gang members were who President Trump spoke about when he famously said,”These aren’t people. These are animals.”

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi defended MS-13 gang members in May 2018. Pelosi said, “We are all God’s children” and “there is a spark of divinity among every person on earth, and we all have to recognize that as we respect the dignity and worth of every person.” Pelosi and other Democrats gave legal advice to illegal immigrants and instructed them to hide from ICE during the raids in July.
