Television personality Rosie O’Donnell defended Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez because Sarah Sanders, the former White House press secretary, tweeted to the congresswoman schooling the freshman congresswoman about “phoning it in.”

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez insulted Ivanka Trump on Saturday by tweeting, “It may be shocking to some, but being someone’s daughter actually isn’t a career qualification. It hurts our diplomatic standing when the President phones it in & the world moves on. The US needs our President working the G20. Bringing a qualified diplomat couldn’t hurt either.”

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s tweet was a reaction to a video uploaded by the French Presidential Palace that spotlighted Ivanka Trump having a conversation with British Prime Minister Theresa May, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Christine Lagarde, the head of International Monetary Fund.

Sarah Sanders commented on Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ’s tweet: “Phoning it in @AOC is wasting your time on Twitter while destroying jobs in NY. @realDonaldTrump & @IvankaTrump actually created millions of new jobs and continue to make the US stronger on the global stage but thank you for reminding Americans everyday why they elected Trump.”

O’Donnell, trying to stay relevant, bashed Sanders, saying, “thank god u r leaving the White House - may we never hear ur voice again - and leave AOC alone - she’s got all the things u lack - mostly courage and moral clarity - u sold ur soul Sarah - now u gotta live with that.”

Paris Dennard made a good point, blasting Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez on Twitter, “Remind us how being a bartender qualified you to be a member of Congress creating laws, voting on bills that impact Americans & the world. Let’s not go there & start comparing your resume to @IvankaTrump’s experience & resume. She also takes no salary. Way to support women… “
