Rep. Ilhan Omar appeared on BET’s digital series “Black Coffee Live,” criticizing Custom and Border Protection claiming that they “terrorize” people and that we should be talking about “eliminating their existence.”

“We know that they have spoken in the most vile ways about immigrants. We know that they have certain views of what brown and black people deserve,” Omar said. “And so we should be having a conversation about eliminating their existence, reforming the agencies that deal with the most vulnerable, who are children and women. And we are continuing to allow for them to terrorize people who are running away from the most horrific circumstances, and that’s inhumane, and that can’t sit well with the American values we have about dignity and humanity.”

The representative for Minnesota’s 5th congressional district tweeted last June: “It’s un-American to criminalize immigrants for wanting to come to this country for a better life. This is why ICE needs to be defunded.”

In August of 2018, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) targeted agricultural facilities, raiding a dozen businesses in Minnesota and Nebraska. The ICE raids resulted in the arrest of 133 illegal immigrants.

ICE Director Mark Morgan told Fox News, “Last year alone 34,000 criminal arrests, 5,000 gang members arrested. Thousands of cases of child smuggling exploitation, human trafficking.”

It seems that Rep. Illhan Omar won’t be satisfied until all of the U.S. borders are wide open to allow everyone to come here freely.
