Republican Congressman Says Hearings Should Focus on Hunter Biden; Sites His Corruption and Drug Use
As the House of Representatives impeachment hearings drag on, at least one Republican has gone on the offensive in support of President Trump Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) brought up an amendment to the Judiciary committee naming Hunter Biden. Gaetz cited the younger Biden’s drug use, messy public romantic life, and his questionable job in the Ukraine during his time.
Gaetz talked about and read from articles discussing Biden’s divorce, dating his brother’s widow and his history of cocaine abuse. A problem that got him kicked out of the Navy and led to numerous other problems. Gaetz summed up by saying, “It’s a little hard to believe that Burisma would hire Hunter Biden to resolve their international disputes when he could not resolve his own dispute with Hertz rental car over leaving cocaine and a crack pipe in the car.”

Notes that Hunter:
- Smoked crack
- Snorted cocaine
- Solicited more crack in homeless shelter
- Took foreign bribes
And THIS was the guy Ukraine paid $million$ to for his “experience” & "knowledge"?! pic.twitter.com/nnjOdvOjok
Rep. Hank Johnson (D-GA) snapped back at Gaetz about the “pot calling the kettle black”. This is a reference to the fact that Gaetz has also struggled with substance abuse issues and has been arrested in the past on DUIO charges.
Rep. Hank Johnson responds to Matt Gaetz’s smear of Hunter Biden. He says “the pot calling the kettle black” is not something we should do, citing an example of if a member of the committee had a DUI in his background. pic.twitter.com/xKxhRDQLJS
