During the impeachment hearings on Wednesday, Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH) got Ambassador Gordon Sondland to admit that he has “no evidence that ties President Trump to a scheme to withhold aid from Ukraine in exchange for these investigations.”

Rep. Turner stated, “You really have no testimony today that ties President Trump to a scheme to withhold aid from Ukraine in exchange for these investigations.”

Sondland replied, “Other than my own presumption.”

Rep. Turner yelled, “Which is nothing!”

Rep. Turner then stated the difference between heresay and made-up testimony, and that Sandland’s assumptions are the reason for today’s CNN headlines that say “Sondland ties Trump to withholding aid.”

Ambassador Sondland replied, “Ive said repeatedly, congressman, I was presuming.”

Rep. Turner asked, “Nobody else on this planet told you that Donald Trump was tying this aid to the investigations.”

Ambassador Sondland answered, “Yes.”
