As we begin the second week of impeachment proceedings against President Trump, the President has gone on the offensive and has started to call out many things surrounding the anonymous informer that are suspicious.

The President has tweeted a number of pointed comments about the so-called “whistleblower” that bring up many valid questions about who this person is, what kind of direct knowledge they actually have, and what their motives are for making these accusations. The President has even taken to calling him the #FakeWhistleblower.

On Tuesday morning, the President took to social media and posed the questions, “why aren’t we entitled to interview & learn everything about the Whistleblower, and also the person who gave all the false information to him.” This last statement is in regards to the fact that the Whistleblower admittedly does not have firsthand knowledge of the call between President Trump and the Ukrainian President. He then sums up his thougths on the whistleblower by calling it “just another Democratic Hoax!”

The President also shrewdly pointed out that some of the whistleblower laws guaranteeing anonymity that had been in place have been changed and strengthened right before these allegations came to light. The President took notice of this convenient timing and called it out Monday as well.
