A group of supporters of President Donald Trump came out to protest at the Alamo on Friday night. They were doing so in open defiance of the COVD-19 curfew that has been put in place by the Democrat mayor of San Antonio. The group chanted “fine me” as a kind of dare to mayor San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg who has ordered a 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. curfew. The curfew bans all kinds of social activity and any gathering “in any area outside of an individual’s household.”

The curfew took effect on the 26th of November and the violators are threatened with a $1,000 fine. The group known as the Texas Freedom Force condemned the curfew saying that the order was unconstitutional. The group also called for people to gather at the Alamo to protest.

“Our right to protest is protected by the Constitution! No Boston liberal mayor & his unconstitutional curfew is going to take those rights from us. We will be contacting our legal counsel Friday morning in preparation. Join us at the Alamo on Saturday at 10:30 pm. Bring flags & signs.”

The Texas Freedom Force asked people to protest on Saturday night but even on Friday, protesters already showed up in force at the Texas monument. “Mayor Nirenberg, it’s 11 p.m., we are outdoors doing a social gathering (this is illegal) I want you personally to come out here and fine me my $1,000, because guess what? I’m not even paying it anyway,” one man shouted into a megaphone.

The police did not bother the protesters. It seems that Nirenberg was afraid to confront the defiant Texans or the police were unwilling to obey the orders of the mayor.

San Antonio is just one of the Democrat-ruled cities and states that have imposed strict restrictions on their residents supposedly to control the spread of the coronavirus. But these orders are going against the constitutional rights of Americans.

The Democrats have canceled Thanksgiving with their restrictions and now they are aiming to cancel Christmas too. They’re doing all of this to demonstrate that they have the power.
