On Tuesday, former House Speaker Paul Ryan advised President Donald Trump to concede and accept that his opponent, former Vice-President Joe Biden, will soon take over his position.

During the Bank of America’s virtual European Credit Conference, the former House Speaker claimed that the President must stop allegations of fraud and legal challenges in the country’s voting system. Ryan explained that the President’s efforts will remain futile and will do nothing to change the outcome. Rather, Ryan believed that it would have a more grave, adverse effect on the country, “it will only serve to undermine our faith in our system of government, our faith in our democracy.”

The Republicans also blasted Trump for bringing irreversible damage to the country and its democratic institutions if he continued to contest the results. He explained that while he understood that GOP voters are disappointed with the outcome, he cannot tolerate the President’s legal team and how they held huge press conferences alleging that they had enough evidence to prove that there is wide scale election fraud. When in fact, it was just a “baseless conspiracy theory.” He went on to lash out at the President, saying that they failed to present solid evidence to back up their claim and overturn the election results.

“So, the election is over. The outcome is certain,” Ryan concluded. He went on to say that Trump’s loss and Biden’s new administration is a “unique” and “fundamental”’ part of the country’s political system. While Ryan considered himself a Republican, the former House Speaker refused to give his full support. Last year, he also criticized the President after the Commander-in-Chief called pornstar Stormy Daniels a “Horseface.” Ryan criticized the President’s choice of words and how the country had turned “‘numb” by his crazy antics.

He then scolded the President, saying that as a government official, he had no right to call a woman a “‘horse face.” He claimed that in the first place, he should have never cheated on his wife and that the President could do better in serving as a “good example.” Ryan also described Trump as someone who does not have any idea on how to act or even run the government. However, Trump did not hold back against the former House Speaker’s insults and responded that Ryan was a “lame duck failure.”

The former House Speaker retired in 2019 after he had spent three years as the Speaker. Under his leadership, the Republican had recently joined with controversial right-wing media, Fox Corp. as the member of its board of directors.
