A BLM activist claims that the looting that happened in Chicago is okay because the affected businesses are insured. She also said that the people upset over the lootings are getting upset over the wrong thing. The activist named Alycia Moaton made the claim during a press conference that was hosted by the group GoodKids MadCity. “People are worried about looting and there are literal lives being taken away? There are people who are dying and y’all are mad about looting Mag Mile? Get over it!”

She added that, “these buildings are insured. Materials will come back, but we will not come back if they kill us. What do y’all not get about that? Gucci, Apple store, whatever it is, that stuff can be replaced. But we won’t be replaced. We lose our lives every single day for this cause, and y’all are mad about the wrong shit.”

Moaton identifies herself as a “mad abolitionist” and a member of GoodKids MadCity, which is an organizer of the press conference. She did not clarify what it is that she wants to abolish. The term was of course applied to those who want to end slavery but that has ended in the 19th Century.

She also claimed that it is the law enforcers themselves that are driving the rioters to become violent. “Y’all want to know what makes a protest not peaceful? Police officers. Y’all want to know what makes a protest not peaceful? Pepper spray, batons, tear gas,” Moaton said. She’s basically claiming that the looters and rioters are not guilty of any wrongdoing at all. If they stole and destroyed other people’s property, she believes that their actions are justified.

As if her claims are not insane enough, the activist accused the police of misgendering people, a mortal sin in the eyes of leftists. She also claims that they will keep ongoing. That means they will continue to riot and terrorize the ordinary citizens of the city. Unfortunately for the people of Chicago, their mayor is not competent enough to deal with the problem. She is also more concerned with her own welfare as she just banned protest near her house but is unwilling to take action to protect the rest of the city.
