As the November elections drew to a close, Democrats accused Postmaster General Louise DeJoy of sabotaging U.S. elections by preventing Americans from casting their votes through nationwide mail-in voting.

To push through mail-in voting, left-wing politicians scheduled an “urgent hearing” on August 24, and demanded DeJoy to testify against allegations that he had plans to sabotage this year’s elections. On Sunday, the announcement was made during a press release by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a vocal vote-in mail supporter. In a statement, Pelosi said that they need to examine what she believed as a massive “operational and organizational” change in the Post Office. The House speaker and fiery anti-Trump critic claimed that experts had advised that such changes would degrade delivery standards, slow down mail deliveries, and even prevent eligible American voters from casting their votes by mail.

Pelosi went on to accuse DeJoy of plotting possible sabotage of the upcoming U.S. general elections. She claimed that the Postmaster-General needed to answer to the public why they are “pushing these dangerous new policies that threaten to silence the voices of millions, just months before the election.” Pelosi also accused President Donald Trump of spearheading the plan, “The President has explicitly stated his intention to manipulate the Postal Service,” adding that DeJoy was the President’s “accomplice.”

The Democrats lamented after DeJoy issued a stern warning of a possible delay in mail delivery during nationwide elections given the volume of mails, and limited logistics. The Postmaster General believed that the scenario might prevent eligible U.S. voters from having their votes counted and compromise the overall integrity of the election.

Protesters also swarmed Dejoy’’s home following his letter to the Congressional Democrats. Others flocked Washington D.C. and blocked the road as a way to protest the possible changes in the U.S Postal services. Despite the risks involved, Democrats refused to listen and heed such warnings.

This is why the administration believed that the Democrats were, in fact, the ones who are trying to cheat their way to the elections. In fact, White House trade and manufacturing adviser Peter Navarro alleged Sunday that Pelosi, along with other Democrats such as Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, was attempting to use the postal service and a “ballot harvesting service.”

Even President Donald Trump agrees that the Democrats are plotting something more sinister. During an interview with Fox News’s Sean Hannity, Trump believed that the Democrats wanted to play a “much dirtier game.” The President encouraged Republicans to become tougher, as left-wing politicians will pursue what he believed as a “rigged” election.

The Democrat’s allegations that Trump was removing mailboxes to prevent voters from casting their votes is completely false. In reality, its removal was a way to cut down costs by removing underutilized boxes. In fact, the Biden-Obama administration was also guilty of doing so, as they were able to take down as much as 14,000 U.S. mailboxes within just five years.
