A fourth shooting incident has taken place inside Seattle’s Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone or Capitol Hill Organized Protest (CHOP). The incident took place on Tuesday morning, and it left a man injured but in a stable condition. A 19-year old male was shot last Saturday and killed, and there was another shooting incident on the same day, which injured one person. The third incident took place on Sunday night, which also injured another man.

The shootings have shown just how violent the autonomous zone is despite all the claims to the contrary. The Seattle mayor has appeared on national TV, where she criticized Trump for not understanding the situation and shed claimed that the gathering is more like a block party. The Seattle government has refused to take decisive action to drive the protesters away from their occupied area. In fact, the government has even encouraged the protesters after they placed concrete barriers that would prevent outside vehicles from getting in.

Though the activists and the Seattle city government want the world to believe that life in the zone is a peaceful one, there is evidence that showed otherwise. There are videos that emerged, showing individuals handing out assault rifles to people inside the zone. There are also cases when armed groups that claim to be the “police” inside the zone have assaulted other people. The protestors also blocked the police and emergency vehicles trying to respond to the shooting, which likely resulted in the death of the lone fatality so far inside the zone.

Now, the city authority is urging the activists to go home. The people behind the occupation are also urging their “comrades” to go home, citing that violence as the main reason, which is an admission that life inside the zone is not ideal after all.

“The CHOP project is now concluded. While we expect a very small handful of holdouts may try to remain in the CHOP, no further organizing will be occurring to support this presence, and the number on-site will be too small to be more than an annoyance for pedestrians rather than a zonal blockade.” That was the message by the group claiming to be the organizer of the whole “uprising.”
