Left-wing CNN host, and heir to the Vanderbilt fortune, Anderson Cooper left scathing remarks against US President Donald Trump. Despite knowing that the president does not drink, Cooper claimed that Trump “acts like a drunk in a bar.”

“He’s like, for a guy who doesn’t drink, acts like a drunk in a bar, yelling, ‘liberate Michigan, liberate,’” the CNN host declared. Cooper went on to say that the president had targeted Democratic governors to encourage local residents to defy state guidelines, and believe that Trump is only concerned about his upcoming re-election.

According to Breitbart News, the host’s statements were a response to increasing criticisms from left-wing activists as well as the media to paint the picture that Trump is mentally incapable of handling the health and economic crisis. One such prominent figure is Dem supporter David Masciota. In his recent statements to the media outlet, Salon, the columnist argued that since prominent Democratic figures such as New York City Governor Andrew Cuomo, and California Gov. Gavin Newsom, cannot risk severing ties with Trump, it is up to other Democrats to start making the case. These include failed Democratic candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Sen. Chris Murphy, and even presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden.

“The reality that is too painful and frightening for many Americans to confront is that the wealthiest and most militarily powerful country in the world, during a pandemic, is under the leadership of someone who is certifiably nuts,” Masciotra explained. He then encouraged Dems to stand up against Trump supporters, saying that anyone who continues to support the president’s recklessness and complete “disregard for humanity” is not intellectually capable of handling rational discussions.

Finally, Masciotra complained that GOP supporters might be hallucinating and living far off from reality by allowing themselves to live under the “authority of a maniac.”

Earlier this month, Cooper also made harsh accusations against Trump for allegedly “hijacking” the White House coronavirus task force press briefing. Cooper began by saying that if viewers hoped that they would be able to hear an expert opinion on the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, the host said that they are in for a disappointment.

Instead, Cooper claimed that what viewers witnessed was Trump’s hijacking of the supposed task force press conference. The host added that the president’s goal was to “rewrite history” about his irresponsible decisions and actions during the onset of the pandemic.

Cooper lamented that such hijacking is something that the country’s top scientists had to deal with on a day to day basis. He concluded that instead of helping the public by providing valuable insight, Trump is using the press briefings as some election propaganda, adding that the president sees it as “an opportunity to lie, to deflect, to attack, to bully, and cover up his own deadly dismissals of the virus for a crucial week.”
