On Easter Sunday, while the rest of the country struggles to recover from the deadly coronavirus pandemic, singer Barbra Streisand used the crisis to blame the Trump administration as well as to advertise her 2018 single “Don’t Lie To Me.”

In her Twitter post, Streisand wrote that she had especially penned the song after President Donald Trump’s election, which she described as a “serial liar.” She continued to say that as a result of Trump’s incompetence and lies, more than 20,000 Americans have died. Streisand also added that the commander-in-chief only proved that he is unable to handle the truth, let alone lead the nation during a pandemic.

A few hours after, Streisand wrote another social media rant. This time, she claimed that instead of building the massive border wall, Trump should focus on getting ventilators and providing personal protective equipment for healthcare professionals. She added that “The virus doesn’t care about the wall that he falsely said Mexico was paying for.”

Within the same day, the singer followed up with a tweet, accusing Trump of defunding WHO, simply because the president does not like the organization.

Social media pundits echoed Streisand’s sentiments. One user replied that Trump should have been kicked out of the White House, or otherwise, impeached.

Another user replied, saying that the news should come as no surprise since Trump already has a history of lying.

Someone also went on to say that he was horrified by Trump’s behavior, and the president’s complete “disregard for human life.”

And finally, another pundit claimed that the virus is no other than Trump himself.

Streisand had previously expressed her disdain against the president. Just last year, the singer shared a violent photo of the president being impaled by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s heel.

The actress who had supported Hillary Clinton during her 2016 presidential bid, had also voiced her “wholehearted” support for presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden. In a now deleted tweet, she went on to insist that the former vice-president should beat Trump in the upcoming 2020 elections, stating that the administration had wreaked havoc in the country’s democracy, health, and safety, and “standing in the world.”

Other Hollywood celebrities have also shared their hatred against the Trump administration. Actor Michael Rappaport, who had made constant attacks against the first family, had recently shared a meme that the country had been run by a “con man and a hooker,” referring to Trump and his first lady Melania.

Then, last month, director and outspoken Trump critic, Rob Reiner had also suggested that the president could be an ““accessory to the crime” and that he should be responsible for the deaths of COVID-19 patients.
