Ronan Farrow, the reporter who broke the Harvey Weinstein rape scandal and started the #MeToo movement opened up to the Financial Times about how is friend and former boss, Hillary Clinton, turned on him once she found out he was investigating sexual misconduct claims against one of her biggest donors, Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein.

In the article, Farrow is quoted as saying about that time in his life, “It’s remarkable how quickly even people with a long relationship with you will turn if you threaten the centers of power or sources of funding around them.” He continued, “Ultimately, there are a lot of people out there who operate in that way. They’re beholden to powerful interests, you become radioactive very quickly.” Farrow worked under Clinton when she was Secretary of State in 2011-12.

Hillary Clinton has accepted more than $40,000 in political contributions from Weinstein beginning in 1999 when she ran for a New York Senate seat. He also backed her with other Hollywood bigwigs throughout her political career. Some stories also allege that she pressured Farrow to kill the Weinstein story all together.

When Farrow broke the Weinstein story Clinton was silent in the matter for 5 days before finally saying that she was, “shocked and appalled” by the charges. She finally said, “The behavior described by women coming forward cannot be tolerated. Their courage and the support of others is critical in helping to stop this kind of behavior.”

Farrow has also attacked Clinton’s husband, former President and alleged sexual predator Bill Clinton. On a TV talk show recently he was asked, “Could Bill Clinton, if he had done what he did in 1998, survive today - or would his own party have thrown him under the bus?” Farrow responded by saying, “I think that it is very important to interject that Bill Clinton is a different conversation. He has been credibly accused of rape. That has nothing to do with gray areas. I think that the Juanita Broaddrick claim has been overdue for revisiting.” He also said, “I’m heartened by the fact that people now routinely express outrage about Bill Clinton, and particularly those more serious allegations about him.”
