Failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has been back on the media circuit lately promoting her new book, “The Book of Gutsy Women” which she co-wrote with her daughter Chelsea. This week, her promotional tour brought her and her daughter to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Clinton took the opportunity while on the late-night comedy show to scold Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

It was reported yesterday that Pompeo was on the call between President Trump and the President of the Ukraine. Colbert opened the impeachment line of questioning by asking, “how many times when you were secretary of state did you have to say to Obama, ‘You can’t extort foreign countries to get dirt on your political enemies?” This drew a laugh from the crowd and from Clinton who replied, “yeah, that never happened.”

She would go to hypothesize that Pompeo should have “cleaned that up” in regards to the phone call before admitting, that “we don’t know what he did.” She also took shots at Rudy Giuliani saying that “carefully thinking through is not one of Rudy’s strong points”, and of course, President Trump saying, “you’ve got a President who doesn’t listen to anybody or follow instructions whatsoever.”

It is interesting to note about the interview, as many on social media have pointed out, that while most of the questions Colbert asked Clinton were regarding President Trump’s impeachment, there were no questions asked about her husband Bill Clinton’s impeachment for lying about sexual misconduct in the oval office in 1998.
